OMEGA 3-6-9 is an ultra-concentrated formula based on fish oil, evening primrose oil and linseed oil with a high content of essential omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids by Sofgels (min. 149, 4 mg ALA, 59.76 mg EPA and 39.84 mg DHA), unsaturated essential fatty acids omega 6 (min. 36.52 mg linoleic acid, 33.2 mg GLA), fatty acids unsaturated omega 9 (min. 36.52 mg of oleic acid) and Vitamin E (3.35 mg).

Long-chain unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids called alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) are essential nutrients for growth and development and participate in the normal functioning of the brain, heart and sight. They also have a beneficial effect on inflammatory processes.

At the cardiovascular level, omega 3 fatty acids act as a vasodilator and antiplatelet agent (via prostaglandin E3), increasing fibrinolytic activity. They also reduce blood viscosity and blood pressure in normotensive and mild hypertensive patients. Omega 3 fatty acids play an important role in preventing arteriosclerosis, as they decrease the levels of triglycerides and low and very low density lipoproteins, LDL and VLDL respectively.

Replacing saturated fats with unsaturated fats in the diet helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. The omega 3, omega 6 and omega 9 fatty acids provided by this pearl are unsaturated fats.

ALA is an essential fatty acid that must be supplied through food because the body is not capable of synthesizing it. ALA contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. EPA and DHA are formed from ALA. However, the metabolic conversion of ALA to DHA/EPA is very limited in humans, so the most direct way to provide EPA and DHA to the body is through their direct consumption, through oils of fish, mainly blue fish. EPA and DHA contribute to the normal functioning of the heart. They also contribute to maintaining normal blood cholesterol levels. DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and the maintenance of vision under normal conditions.

Linoleic acid is an essential unsaturated fatty acid from the omega 6 series that contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels.

Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) is an essential unsaturated fatty acid from the omega 6 family which has an important mission in the body, since it is the precursor of eicosanoids, leukotrienes, prostaglandins (mainly PGE1) and thromboxanes, which are cellular mediators which have a regulatory role in general metabolism by intervening in a multitude of physiological processes: vasodilatory activity, antiplatelet agents, anti-inflammatory, antiproliferative, antithrombotic and hypocholesterolemic activity. GLA helps reduce the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome and climacteric disorders, being used as an antidysmenorrheic and regulator of the hormonal system. It also has an emollient action on the skin.

Oleic acid helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. It is an unsaturated fatty acid of the omega 9 series that exerts a beneficial action on blood vessels, reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases, as it helps increase the levels of HDL high-density lipoproteins in the body, which are mainly responsible elimination of excess LDL.

Vitamin E helps protect cells against oxidative damage. This high antioxidant capacity helps it protect against free radicals and UV rays. Helps slow premature aging and maintain the stability of cell membranes.
